Abstract

The effectiveness of safety control on construction sites directly influences the quality of construction management and the achievement of production objectives. Traditional manual safety monitoring methods are increasingly challenged due to their inefficiency and unreliability. Advances in computing technologies—particularly in artificial intelligence (AI)—have created new opportunities to address these limitations. This study utilizes VOSviewer software to perform a multi-perspective visual analysis of relevant literature sourced from the Web of Science Core Collection, including publication volume, journals, countries, authors, and keywords. The aim is to investigate the current research landscape, emerging focal areas, and evolving trends in applying AI technologies—particularly computer vision—to safety management on construction sites. The results reveal a consistent increase in journal publications within this field. High-quality research is primarily published in journals such as Automation in Construction and Advanced Engineering Informatics. Core research topics include deep learning, computer vision, tracking, equipment, construction sites, recognition, and object detection.
