Abstract

The integration of digital innovation and sustainability has encouraged tourist destinations to adopt smart technology to enhance enjoyable travel experiences. This study examines the role of Smart Green Tourism Technology (SGTT) in influencing destination loyalty through the Technology Acceptance Model (perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness) and tourist satisfaction. This study was conducted through a survey, administering questionnaires to 203 tourists who had interacted with digital tourism technology as respondents. Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) was used to analyze the research data. This study found that smart green tourism technology influences destination loyalty through perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and tourist satisfaction. Smart Green Tourism Technology increases perceived ease of use but does not affect perceived usefulness. Perceived ease of use, and perceived usefulness enhance tourist satisfaction. High tourist satisfaction will increase destination loyalty. Tourist satisfaction mediates the Technology Acceptance Model (perceived ease of use and perceived usefulness). Perceived ease of use mediates the effect of smart green tourism technology on tourist satisfaction, which ultimately increases destination loyalty. Perceived usefulness mediates perceived ease of use on tourist satisfaction, which ultimately increases destination loyalty, but does not mediate smart green tourism technology on tourist satisfaction. SGTT influences destination loyalty through perceived ease of use and consumer satisfaction. SGTT influences destination loyalty through perceived ease of use, perceived usefulness, and tourist satisfaction. The results of this study have implications for the importance of user-friendly smart tourism technology in strengthening tourist satisfaction and long-term destination loyalty.
