Abstract

This research deals with the physical accessibility of disabilities at the Central Java Provincial Library. The provision of physical access for disabilities at the Central Java Provincial Library is still a problem. The user disabilities at the Central Java Provincial Library still experience hindrances in accessing library collections physically. This study aimed to determine the availability of physical accessibility for disabilities at the Central Java Provincial Library. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with a deductive approach. Data from this study were obtained from a population of 120, and a sample of 55 people with disabilities visiting the Central Java Provincial Library within a month. This study shows that the physical accessibility of the Central Java Provincial Library received a positive value with a score of 2.99, indicating that people with disabilities have a positive response. However, the physical accessibility of the Central Java Provincial Library requires further improvement. Physical accessibility at the Central Java Provincial Library has met several requirements, but not all requirements are met, such as the absence of an emergency button (emergency sound bottom), which can be used by people with disabilities.
