- Abstract
This research analyzes the regulatory model for Indonesian citizens’ land leased back to third parties by foreign citizens. This study compared regulations in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Sweden. Normative legal analysis is the methodology employed using a comparative and statutory legal approach. The research results show that regulations in Indonesia require updating to overcome the problem of foreign nationals re-renting property that violates existing legal provisions. There is a need for stricter rules regarding lease duration, government involvement in lease extensions, and control of foreign nationals’ land ownership rights to ensure compliance with applicable laws.
