Sustainable development in Indonesia is an important agenda that not only involves economic and social aspects, but also politics and state security. In this context, the spirit of defending the country becomes essential in ensuring sustainable development. This research aims to explore the relationship between state defense, politics and democracy in the context of sustainable development in Indonesia. This study will use a qualitative approach by analyzing data from various sources including literature, public policy and expert views. The focus of the analysis will include the contribution of community political participation in the development process, the role of state institutions in facilitating the spirit of national defense, as well as the challenges and opportunities faced in the context of democracy. This analysis will also consider external factors such as globalization, regional geopolitical dynamics, and developments in information technology which have an impact on the dynamics of state defense, politics and democracy in Indonesia. From the results of this analysis, it is hoped that strategies and policies will be revealed that can strengthen integration between the spirit of national defense, politics and democracy to support sustainable development in Indonesia. It is hoped that the results of this research can provide valuable insight for policy makers, academics and practitioners to design concrete steps in building closer links between the spirit of defending the country, politics and democracy in order to achieve inclusive and just sustainable development in Indonesia.
