Abstract

This article explores the relationship between Inclusive Business Theory and the corporate role in empowering individuals with disabilities in the Eks-Karesidenan Surakarta. The study aims to understand how Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives contribute to the socio-economic development of people with disabilities, focusing on inclusive business practices and the implementation of disability-friendly policies. By analyzing various case studies, government reports, and academic literature, the review identifies key factors that influence the success of these initiatives, including corporate commitment, collaboration with local communities, and the effectiveness of policy frameworks. The findings suggest that while some corporations have made significant strides in promoting disability empowerment, challenges such as limited resources, lack of awareness, and inadequate policy enforcement still hinder broader inclusion. In the context of disability empowerment, companies can adopt inclusive practices that provide opportunities for persons with disabilities to contribute to and benefit from economic activities. The review concludes by capturing inclusive business perspective as a framework for disability empowerment and recommending strategies to enhance corporate involvement in disability empowerment, emphasizing the importance of continuous evaluation and the need for a more integrated approach involving all stakeholders.
