Website: https://iconicrs.universitaspertamina.ac.id/ We are delighted to introduce the proceedings of the 4th edition of the 2025 International Conference on Contemporary Risk Studies (ICONIC-RS), Universitas Pertamina, Indonesia. The ICONIC-RS 2025 event was held on October 8, 2025, at the InterContinental Pondok Indah Jakarta and conducted through both virtual and in-person participation. This conference aims to bring researchers, developers, policymakers, and practitioners around the world who are leveraging and developing smart grid technology for a smarter and more resilient grid. The theme of ICONIC-RS 2025 was “Navigating Global Risk: Advancing Economic Resilience, Environmental Sustainability, and Energy Security”. The conference sub-themes as the scope of the conference were: 1) Environmental Risk on Energy Sector and Sustainability; 2) Environmental Social and Governance; 3) Risk Management and Good Corporate Governance; 4) Contemporary Geopolitical Risk; 5) Financial Sustainability, Human Capital, Marketing and Operation; and 6) Climate Change and Community Engagement. The technical program of ICONIC-RS 2025 conference consisted of 48 paper presentations, including all papers in oral presentation sessions at the main conference sub-themes. Out of the 48 papers presented, 21 papers were accepted to be published in the 4th ICONIC-RS 2025 proceeding. Aside from the high-quality technical paper presentations, the technical program also featured three keynote speeches and four invited talks. The three keynote speeches were: 1) Jisman P. Hutajulu as a senior advisor of the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Republic of Indonesia; 2) Agung Wicaksono as the Director of Transformation and Business Sustainability, PT Pertamina (Persero); and 3) Agus Mashud S. Asngari as the President Director of Pertamina Foundation. The invited talks were presented by Prof. Yuri Manshuri from Illinois University USA, Prof. Kishi Kenta from Akita University Japan, Muhammad Rifqi, Ph.D. from Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS), and Gigih Udi Atmo, S.T., M.EPM., Ph.D. from Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Republic of Indonesia. We strongly believe that the ICONIC-RS conference provides a good forum for all researchers, policymakers and practitioners to discuss all science, technology and policy aspects that are relevant to Risk Studies.
