Abstract

This study examines the concept of a pedagogy of love within the context of Islamic curriculum reform, emphasizing the promotion of students’ moral, spiritual, and intellectual development. Employing a qualitative methodology, the research analyzes case studies from the Islamic Boarding School Padepokan Kyai Mudrikah Kembang Kuning alongside various compassionate learning initiatives. The findings reveal that embedding love-based principles into both curriculum design and assessment practices fosters a holistic educational environment that nurtures academic achievement, emotional well-being, and social growth. Central to this transformation is the role of educators as moral exemplars who cultivate compassionate and value-driven learning spaces. The study highlights how values such as compassion, empathy, and social responsibility enhance not only academic competence but also moral integrity, emotional resilience, and civic engagement among students. Ultimately, the research advocates for the integration of love-based educational practices on a global scale, calling for a shift toward value-oriented, holistic education that equips learners to participate in both personal growth and broader societal transformation.
