Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the legal register in cultural village regulations in the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY). This research uses a descriptive qualitative type used to describe the legal register in cultural village regulations in the DIY region. The subject of this research is in the form of cultural village regulations, while the object of research is in DIY which consists of 4 regencies and 1 city, namely Bantul Regency, Kulonprogo, Sleman, Gunungkidul and Yogyakarta City. Broadly speaking, the research steps are (1) documenting cultural village regulations in Yogyakarta; (2) examining cultural village regulations based on patterns or forms, legal registers, and text structures of cultural village regulations. The results of this study are as follows. (1) language variety of cultural village regulations uses Indonesian according to Indonesian grammar rules concerning EYD, diction, and effective sentences. In making cultural village regulations, sentences are normative in nature containing general and abstract legal norms. The register of cultural village regulations consists of the words menimbang, mengingat, memutuskan, that, should, if, when, and/or, perkal, perdes. (2) The presentation pattern of cultural village regulations consists of naming or title, preamble, body, closing, and appendix.
