The Influence of Financial Literacy, Financial Inclusion, Financial Technology, and Business Capital on MSMEs’ Performance

Abstract

This study aims to ascertain how financial literacy, financial inclusion, financial technology, and business capital affect MSMEs performance. Between 2020 and the end of 2022, the number of MSME actors in Bantul Regency increased from 49,801 business units to 86,833 business units. With a sample size of 126 MSME actors from different sectors in Bantul Regency, this study employs a quantitive approach SPSS is used for data analysis. The research findings show that financial literacy significantly and positively, financial inclusion does not have a positive and significant effect on MSME performance, financial technology findings have a positive and significant effect on MSME performance, and business capital has a positive and significant effect on MSME performance. Financial literacy enhances the ability of MSME actors to manage finances and access financing services. Financial inclusion expands access to various financial services, supporting businesses’ stability and sustainability. Fintech offers more efficient and innovative solutions for the financial needs of SMEs, while sufficient business capital enables expansion, product development, and financial stability.
