- Abstract
The Pajjaga Andi dance is a typical Bugis local wisdom that has a unique variety and is synonymous with mathematics. This can be integrated into the learning process through metaverse-based virtual media to overcome mathematical creative thinking abilities which are still very low. The aim of this research is to see the effect of motivated virtual learning of the Pajjaga Andi dance variety in improving students’ mathematical creative thinking abilities. The type of research used is non-equivalent control group design quasi-experimental research. Mathematical creative thinking ability is measured using a test instrument in the form of an essay with five questions. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that virtual learning motivated by the Pajjaga Andi dance variety can improve students’ mathematical creative thinking abilities with an increase of 38.92or 80%. This indicates that virtual learning motivated by the Pajjaga Andi dance variety is effective in improving creative mathematical thinking skills, as well as having an impact on cultural preservation as a form of indigenous cultural knowledge.
