It is with great pleasure that we present the proceedings of the International Conference on Sustainable Green Tourism Applied Science - Engineering Applied Science (ICoSTAS-EAS) 2026, held on October 7, 2026, in Bali, Indonesia. Hosted by Politeknik Negeri Bali, this conference provides an international platform for scholars, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to share and discuss interdisciplinary research in engineering, technology, and applied sciences that support sustainable development and green tourism.

The scope of ICoSTAS-EAS 2026 covers Sustainable and Green Construction, Green Materials, Applied Low Technology (Applied Low-Tech), Sustainable and Renewable Energy Technology, Green Technology with IoT-Based Systems, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Automation Technology, Information Technology, Green Manufacturing and Sustainable Production, Transportation, Construction Management, Structural Engineering, and Water Resources.

The papers included in this proceeding reflect the diversity of engineering and applied science contributions to sustainability. Several studies address sustainable construction, structural engineering, water resources, and community-based infrastructure, including research on clean water distribution systems, plumbing and piping design, soil testing, retaining wall planning, structural reliability assessment, and the use of clamshell waste as a partial cement replacement in mortar. Other papers explore green materials and sustainable manufacturing, such as green composite brake pads, hydroxyapatite filtration media, phase change materials for solar PV cooling, bio-additives for engine performance, and eco-enzyme applications for electrical grounding improvement.

This proceeding also highlights the growing role of digital technology, artificial intelligence, automation, and information systems in supporting sustainable practices. The accepted papers include studies on AI agents, e-learning systems, academic risk classification, outcome-based education prediction, augmented reality learning media, e-commerce platforms, executive dashboards, named entity recognition, AI-generated text detection, mobile virtual assistants, and on-device deployment of computer vision models. In the field of energy and environment, the proceeding presents research on photovoltaic systems, VRF systems, emission reduction, public street lighting, fire detection devices, and renewable energy systems such as pico-hydro turbines.

In line with the conference theme, “Advancing Global Sustainability Through Local Wisdom and Green Innovation,” ICoSTAS-EAS 2026 emphasizes the importance of practical, locally grounded, and technology-driven solutions. The contributions in this proceeding show how engineering and applied sciences can support sustainable tourism, community development, institutional improvement, environmental management, and technological innovation.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all authors, reviewers, committee members, and participants whose valuable contributions made this conference and proceeding possible. We hope that the research presented in ICoSTAS-EAS 2026 will provide meaningful references for future studies, applied innovation, and sustainable development practices.

We also express our gratitude to Atlantis Press for their support in publishing this proceeding and helping us disseminate these valuable academic contributions to the broader international community.

Sincerely,
General Chairman of ICoSTAS-EAS 2026
