Abstract

Education is a fundamental human right that is essential to human life. According to Article 31 of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia, every citizen has the right to receive basic education, which is funded by the state. Education plays a vital role in enhancing intelligence, skills, and national development, with its quality serving as an indicator of a country’s progress. One such indicator is the proficiency in foreign languages and numeracy at the elementary school level. Based on the initial consultation with Bali Children Foundation (BCF), it was identified that there is a need for training programs in English language and numeracy for elementary school teachers in Buleleng Regency. This Community Service Program (PkM) under the international collaboration scheme focuses on elementary school teachers. The activities are conducted through the following approaches: (1) Providing specialized training for teachers in English literacy and numeracy to support the teaching and learning process for elementary students in Buleleng Regency; (2) Engaging expert speakers (academics) in the fields of English language and numeracy; (3) Issuing training certificates to elementary school teachers in accordance with the standards of the Department of Education, Youth, and Sports of Buleleng Regency; and (4) Developing teaching materials on English language and numeracy.
