- Abstract
This study aims to optimize the use of digital media to improve Mandarin language learning outcomes. The sample used purposive sampling with 56 respondents. The method of collecting data was distributing the questionnaire and conducting observations. The results show that optimizing digital media can improve their skills, such as reading Mandarin words, phrases, or sentences. However, due to time constraints, students can still not practice speaking. The number of students and the short duration of the learning process can also hinder students’ skills development. The results of direct observations show that the most difficult skill for them to master is speaking. Because in the learning process, not all students can practice speaking. The next suggestion is to divide the class into two or three courses, allowing each student to practice their speaking skills for 2×50 minutes.
