Abstract

Sustainable village economic development requires a balance between economic, social, and environmental aspects. The concept of Green Accounting emerges as an accounting approach that incorporates environmental impacts into economic decision-making processes. Lembaga Perkreditan Desa (LPD), or Village Credit Institution, is a financial institution established in Bali to provide access to capital for communities. Founded on the principles of local wisdom, LPDs are designed to empower traditional village communities through the efficient and sustainable management of financial resources. Implementation of Green Accounting can be strengthened by the values of Tri Hita Karana (THK), a Balinese local wisdom philosophy that emphasizes harmonious relationships between humans and God (Parahyangan), humans and fellow humans (Pawongan), and humans and the environment (Palemahan). This study aims to analyze the application of Tri Hita Karana in supporting the economic development of Canggu Traditional Village. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method, involving informants such as supervisors, managers, and clients of the Village Credit Institution (LPD) in Canggu Traditional Village. The research is grounded in the Triple Bottom Line theory, which emphasizes development based on three pillars: Profit, People, and Planet. This framework is aligned with the local wisdom of Tri Hita Karana. This study reveals how policy implementation, especially in fulfilling the social role of the LPD, contributes to village development rooted in local cultural traditions.
