Abstract

Global environmental problems, including climate change and water scarcity, pose significant challenges for all parties to achieve environmental sustainability. Politeknik Negeri Bali has a strong commitment to contributing to the implementation of green environmental programs, particularly in green tourism, through various activities, including research and community service programs. This paper is based on the impact assessment of the International Community Service International Collaboration Program, in the form of training and coaching on the implementation of the green tourism concept, water conservation, and waste management. This study employed a quantitative research approach to gather information on the level of knowledge, awareness, and implementation related to sustainable tourism among tourism stakeholders. Prior to data collection, the instrument underwent a validity test using item-total correlation analysis. The result showed a high level of awareness and comprehension of green tourism principles. Both individual understanding and company-level application of green tourism principles are generally high, particularly in areas of energy efficiency and environmental sustainability. The most universally adopted practice was the use of LED or low-energy lighting, implemented by 100% of respondents, while the qualitative feedback gathered from respondents highlights a strong call for enhanced regulatory oversight and consistent monitoring of green tourism practices. Spearman’s rho test yields a correlation coefficient of 0.553, suggesting a moderate positive relationship and indicating that higher awareness levels are associated with greater implementation of green tourism practices within the industry.
