- Abstract
This study aims to analyze the nighttime economic in Canggu, Bali, in the face of challenges and crises, especially in the post-COVID-19 pandemic era. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach, involving in-depth interviews with local people in Canggu, as well as participatory observation and document analysis. The data collected were analyzed thematically to identify challenges of nighttime economic tourism activities. The results show the night-time economy is both a key driver of economic opportunity and a source of severe social and environmental challenges in Bali. While it supports employment, drives business, and attracts global tourists, it also strains infrastructure, disrupts local communities, and can erode the culture and environment that make Bali special. The need to integrate local wisdom into night tourism development increases the value, protection, and identity of the destination. By embedding elements of local culture, nightlife initiatives can provide unique and memorable experiences that increase economic benefits for communities.
