Abstract

The Catholic Church is an organization with a relatively long history. In an effort to survive and thrive, they must adapt to the latest technology. One of the church’s efforts is by utilizing the use of multimedia. Multimedia requires workers, as well as a room to be the center of control for all multimedia devices. This research paper is expected to be able to help overcome complaints from multimedia officers by finding the main causes that affect the willingness to serve on daily masses. This quantitative research uses questionnaire that will be held twice on the same respondents as the main data collection method. The analysis is presented by calculating the frequency of keywords appearing in the respondents’ answers. The second stage of analysis is explained by calculating scores and drawing conclusions. The main cause of disinterest in serving in daily mass, found through said questionnaire and supported in the analysis stage, is the fact that Saint Theresia Church's multimedia room is too narrow. Narrow can be interpreted in terms of the area size of the room compared to the needs of the existing equipment (analytically), and in terms of the perception of the room due to the inefficient interior design. Because of the limited space that does not allow for expansion of the multimedia room, the solution offered in this paper is to change the analog multimedia system whereas a total of three devices can be replaced with a digital system that only requires two devices.
