Abstract

The modern alternative to promote the development of green cities is the usage of electric vehicles. The decision for more environmentally friendly transportation is seen in the minimal emissions created. Because it lessens the damaging effects of transportation on the environment, this is also consistent with the idea of green transportation. Nevertheless, there currently needs to be more infrastructure for charging to satisfy this condition. Battery swapping, charging at the destination, and home charging stations are examples of charging infrastructure. The number of people using electric vehicles climbed by 114% in the Jakarta Special Administrative Province between 2021 and 2022. There could be an even faster surge in the use of electric cars. Only 113 Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (PEVCS) are anticipated to exist by 2023. This project aims to find PEVCS locations inside the Jakarta Special Region Province. The distribution of PEVCSs was mapped using the spatial analysis approach under the Jakarta Special Region Province Detailed Spatial Plan (RDSP) and population density. The study’s findings suggest that PEVCS infrastructure must improve, particularly major thoroughfares, business buildings, and retail establishments. To achieve green mobility by providing the PEVCSs infrastructure with the needed location in the central Jakarta Area. This will provide them with a thorough understanding of how to operate electric vehicles in the Special Region of Jakarta Province.
