- Abstract
Confucius thought of teaching students in accordance with their aptitude laid the foundation of personalized teaching for ancient Chinese education, and influenced the theory and practice of many educators in later generations. This paper aims to deeply analyze the educational concept of Confucius teaching students according to their aptitude and explore its important position in the history of Chinese philosophy. In the context of modern ideological and political education, despite the challenges of numerous students and limited educational resources, “teaching students in accordance with their aptitude” is still regarded as the key to achieve high-quality education.
