- Abstract
Against the backdrop of global warming and advancement of carbon peaking and carbon neutrality goals, green total factor productivity (GTFP) serves as a core metric for measuring the efficiency of green transition. Its impact on corporate profitability represents a pivotal issue in the synergy between green development and microeconomics. This study employs a two-way fixed effects model, utilizing a sample of Chinese A-share listed companies from 2010 to 2024, to empirically examine the influence of GTFP on corporate profit margins and its heterogeneous characteristics. Findings reveal: GTFP enhancement significantly stimulates growth in corporate net profit margins. It offers reference value for differentiated approaches to advancing corporate green transition and optimizing policies that synergies environmental and economic objectives.
