- Abstract
Traditional financing methods, characterized by information asymmetry, stringent credit evaluation criteria, and operational inefficiencies, have proven inadequate in addressing the financing needs of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). It has led to the emergence of supply chain finance (SCF) as an innovative financing solution. This study systematically examines the evolutionary trajectory and fundamental concepts of SCF, while conducting a comparative analysis of conventional and emerging SCF models. For intellectual property (IP) enterprises, while SCF presents an effective financing approach, this study suggests that incorporating government credit enhancement mechanisms is essential to expand the applicability of SCF within this specific sector.
