Abstract

The exponential growth of digital ticketing systems has amplified challenges related to fraud, price inflation, and poor user experience in secondary resale markets. SellMyTicket is a secure, web-based ticket reselling platform designed to mitigate these issues through robust authentication, transparent pricing, and intuitive design. The proposed architecture employs a React.js frontend and a Node.js–Express.js backend, integrated with MongoDB via Mongoose. User data security is ensured through bcrypt-based hashing and JSON Web Token (JWT) authentication. In future versions, the platform explores blockchain-based ticket validation to enhance transparency and ensure tamper-proof ownership transfer. This paper presents the architectural design, core functionalities, security framework, and usability evaluation of SellMyTicket, emphasizing its contribution toward creating a reliable and user-centric ticket resale ecosystem.
