It gives us immense pleasure to present Proceedings of the International Conference on Smart Systems and Social Management (ICSSSM 2025), an interdisciplinary platform that brings together researchers, academicians, practitioners, industry experts, and policymakers to discuss emerging innovations at the intersection of smart technologies and societal development. It was hosted and organized by The Assam Royal Global University (RGU), in collaboration with GR Foundation and supported by leading academic institutions like Arya Vidyapeeth College, Morigaon College, Paschim Guwahati Mahavidyalaya and industry partners, ICSSSM 2025 was held from 6-8 November 2025 in hybrid mode.

The rapid expansion of Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), smart infrastructures, digital governance models, and data-driven social systems has transformed how societies function, interact, and evolve. The central aim of ICSSSM 2025 was to explore these evolving paradigms and to highlight innovative frameworks, research prototypes, and critical reflections that contribute to sustainable social management and smarter technological ecosystems.

This first volume of the AISR series features a curated collection of peer-reviewed papers covering diverse thematic areas such as smart system design, intelligent decision support, digital transformation, social innovation, sustainable development strategies, smart libraries, human–machine interaction, cybersecurity implications, AI-driven governance, and data-enabled social research. Each paper underwent a rigorous review process to ensure academic quality, originality, and relevance to the conference themes.

The contributions in this volume reflect collective efforts to bridge theory and practice, fostering dialogues across disciplines to inspire future research and collaborative innovation. We firmly believe that the ideas presented here will contribute meaningfully to the global discourse on intelligent systems and their role in shaping resilient, inclusive, and sustainable societies.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all authors for their scholarly contributions, to the reviewers for their valuable insights and constructive feedback, and to all members of the organizing and technical committees for their unwavering support. Our sincere thanks also go to Springer Nature (Atlantis Press) for their guidance and for publishing these proceedings in the Advances in Intelligent Systems Research series.

We hope that this volume serves as a useful resource for researchers, educators, policymakers, and practitioners across disciplines. May it inspire further inquiry, innovation, and collaboration in the dynamic domain of smart systems and social management.
