- Abstract
Individuals facing the complex intersection of mental health disorders and genetic conditions encounter significant barriers to effective care and personalized treatment pathways. This paper introduces a pioneering AI-powered platform that integrates advanced sentiment analysis with retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) models to deliver contextually precise, patient-focused information. Leveraging publicly available social discourse data, the system uncovers critical emotional and informational gaps experienced by these patients, informing the design of an interactive question-answering chatbot and a comprehensive knowledge base. Evaluated through a rigorous simulated question set and expert review, this approach demonstrates enhanced accuracy and reduced misinformation in mental health resource delivery. The framework aims to bridge existing healthcare gaps by facilitating self-management and improving access to clinical trials, all while addressing ethical concerns such as privacy and bias. This work signifies a meaningful advancement in digital mental health interventions tailored for genetically influenced psychiatric conditions, setting a foundation for future innovations in patientcentric mental healthcare technology.
