Abstract

PT. Pertamina EP Asset 5 Sangatta Field is a company engaged in the upstream sector of oil and gas exploration and exploitation that produces waste during petroleum drilling activities, namely oil drilling mud waste. The results of chemical characteristics in the mud from petroleum drilling from PT Pertamina EP Asset 5 Sangatta Field contain several chemical compounds, namely Silica Oxide (SiO2) of 79.78%, Iron Oxide (Fe2O3) of 6.28%, Aluminum Oxide (AI2O3) of 7.77%, Calcium Oxide (CaO)1,51%, Total Fe was 4.39%, Phosphorus (P) was 0.05%, and Loss on Ignition was 6.60%. This experiment method is quantitative by substituting fine aggregate with petroleum drilling mud waste by 10%, 20%, and 30%—the results of physical characteristics in the mud from petroleum drilling from PT. Pertamina EP Sangatta Field has physical characteristics: moisture content of 0.64%, mud content of 36.82%, specific gravity of 2.61, water absorption of 5.30%, and particle fineness modulus of 0.72. Meanwhile, fine aggregate has physical characteristics: moisture content of 0.35%, mud content of 0.72%, specific gravity of 2.58, water absorption of 0.37%, and particle fineness modulus of 2.10. The effect of sludge waste substitution from oil drilling on fine aggregates in the manufacture of eco-cellular lightweight concrete is evident from the shrinkage of light bricks when heated, namely 0.08% in control light bricks, 0.09% in 10% substitution light bricks; 0.15% in light brick substitution 20%; and 0.18% in light brick substitution 30%. This composition is related to the mud chemical content test using the X-ray fluorescence method, which also contains data on ignition loss or volume reduction during heating, which reaches 6.60% of the initial volume of mud from oil drilling.
