Abstract

This research discusses the importance of cost estimates in project management, specifically in Indonesia. The ability to make accurate cost estimates is crucial for project estimators, as it affects their profitability and success in winning bids. If the bid price is too high, the estimator is likely to lose the auction, while a price that is too low can cause future difficulties. Various methods are available in Indonesia for planning project budget costs, including BOW, SNI 2008, AHSP 2021, and Field Prices. Contractors often base their bid prices on their own analysis, drawing on previous experience. However, this research aims to determine the most economical method by comparing these different methods. In the case of the Samarinda Monitoring Center Building project, the Contracted Price method is found to be the most economical, followed by SNI 2008, AHSP 2021, and the BOW method, which is the most expensive. In the calculation of the cost budget plan for the Samarinda Monitoring Center Building Construction using 4 methods, the Contracted Price method is more economical, namely Rp 2,461,096,000. SNI 2008 is the second most economical, which is IDR 3,421,554,000, then the 2021 AHSP method is IDR 3,512,540,000 and the most expensive BOW method is IDR 3,965,206,000.
