In the face of accelerating global urbanization and infrastructure renewal, contemporary cities are increasingly confronted with multifaceted challenges in traffic systems, built environments, and sustainable development. These dynamics have heightened the demand for innovative, resilient, and intelligent solutions in traffic transportation and civil architecture. Against this backdrop, the 2025 8th International Conference on Traffic Transportation and Civil Architecture (ICTTCA 2025) was convened to provide a high-level academic platform for researchers, engineers, and practitioners to engage in in-depth dialogue, share frontier developments, and foster cross-disciplinary collaboration.

The conference was held successfully in Tianjin, China, from April 18 to 20, 2025, drawing participation from over 150 attendees worldwide. The organizing committee received 289 paper submissions, among which 101 high-quality manuscripts were accepted following a stringent peer-review process. The academic scope of the conference encompassed a broad spectrum of topics, including intelligent transportation systems, structural engineering, urban sustainability, geotechnical resilience, and the digitalization of infrastructure management.

A particular highlight of ICTTCA 2025 was the engagement of nine esteemed invited speakers, each of whom delivered keynote presentations on critical and emerging themes. Their research spanned prefabricated green construction systems, seismic performance of composite structural components, hydrodynamic behavior in sponge cities, wave–structure interaction, floating tunnel element installation technologies, off shore wind power infrastructure, and real-time monitoring in maritime engineering. These expert contributions not only deepened the technical discourse of the conference but also brought forth interdisciplinary insights that are vital for advancing theoretical frameworks and real-world applications.

The organizing committee extends its sincere appreciation to all contributors, reviewers, keynote speakers, and participants whose efforts and scholarship were instrumental to the success of the conference. Special thanks are also due to our institutional partners and technical sponsors for their unwavering support. We believe that ICTTCA 2025 has made a meaningful contribution to academic and engineering communities and will serve as a catalyst for future research and innovation in traffic transportation and civil architecture.
