Abstract

At present, the multi-dimensional, multi-form and high-intensity participation of colleges and universities in rural construction is no longer only a resource element in the countryside construction system, but a relatively independent subsystem gradually formed through the integration of various elements. Taking the university design action in the countryside as an entry point, the article analyzes the status quo and dilemma of design disciplines' participation in rural construction by using system theory, and examines the existing mechanism from the perspectives of internal and external subject relations, elements, structure and function. The study shows that the improvement of this subsystem requires: 1) the provincial and municipal governments to balance the resources and expand the supply of channels; 2) the local governments to take the initiative to build a collaborative participation mechanism; 3) the university management to reform the evaluation system internally and strengthen the joint construction between the university and the local community externally; 4) the faculty members to carry out the pedagogical reforms of integrating with the countryside construction at the level of their actions. The article summarizes the breakthrough ideas of university design disciplines integrating into the rural construction system, and provides theoretical references and Guangdong experiences for related practices.
