- Abstract
Elevators are the most frequently used vertical transportation tools in people’s lives, and their operational safety affects the riding experience. The state implements mandatory supervision and inspection of elevators. Wire ropes are important components connecting motors and cars. Wear and other situations occur during use. Due to the wide variety of elevators in use, traditional testing technology alone cannot meet actual requirements. Nondestructive testing technology has become an important means for elevator wire rope testing. Elevator steel belts are new transmission components developed from traditional wire ropes. Developing highly reliable nondestructive testing flaw detectors can avoid safety accidents. This paper introduces the principles and advantages of nondestructive testing technology and discusses the application of nondestructive testing technology in elevator inspection.
