Abstract

Women’s involvement in the workforce continues to increase along with the development of the industrial sector. Women now play an active role not only in domestic affairs, but also in supporting organizational performance. This study aims to examine the relationship between work-family conflict and the performance of female employees at PT. Bank Sumut Head Office Medan. The research approach used is quantitative with a total of 116 female employees as respondents. The results of the analysis show a significant negative relationship between work-family conflict and employee performance, with a Pearson correlation value of −0.384 and a significance level of 0.000 ( p < 0.05 ). The coefficient of determination (R 2 ) value of 0.147 indicates that work-family conflict contributes 14.7% to performance, while 85.3% is influenced by other factors. This finding indicates that the higher the level of work-family conflict, the lower employee performance tends to be, so that the balance between work and family life becomes an important factor in maintaining productivity.
