- Abstract
This study examines the implementation of Collective Agreements in resolving unilateral employment termination (layoff) disputes at PT. Sentrum Solusi Sejahtera. Termination of employment has significant economic, social, and psychological impacts, and Indonesian labor law mandates fair and efficient settlement consistent with Law No. 13 of 2003 on Manpower and Law No. 2 of 2004 on Settlement of Industrial Relations Disputes [20] . Using a normative juridical method (statutory approach) with literature studies and interviews, the research analyzes legal bases, implementation practice, and the challenges of using Collective Agreements after mediation. Findings indicate that Collective Agreements can realize justice and legal certainty for disputing parties; however, their effectiveness is hampered by bargaining-power imbalances and lack of good faith in performance. Strengthening the role of mediators and state oversight is key to improving non-litigation mechanisms.
