Abstract

The present text critically examines the constructed characteristics of men and women. Often manipulated or designed to reinforce specific societal structures and norms. It delves into the depths of women’s suppression, exploring how patriarchal systems have historically overshadowed their individual identities and autonomy. The analysis also addresses the psychological dimensions of this suppression, revealing how women, despite recognizing their intrinsic worth, frequently fail to challenge the predefined roles and goals imposed upon them. This study emphasizes the concept of women’s empowerment, probing its necessity, implications, and intended beneficiaries. It seeks to explore the origins, factors, and scope of empowerment, while also addressing the societal and historical conditions that necessitated the emergence of this discourse. A key focus lies in understanding for whom empowerment is essential and why the term “women’s empowerment” has gained such prominence in contemporary discussions. By analyzing the intersection of gender, power, and societal norms, the text aims to provide a nuanced perspective on the transformative potential of empowerment and its relevance in dismantling patriarchal systems. The overarching goal is to illuminate the pathways of women to reclaim agency and redefine their roles in society.
