Abstract

Digital transformation has become a critical element in the business world, impacting the way companies operate, interact with customers, and manage data. However, the process of adapting to new technologies still faces various challenges, such as infrastructure unpreparedness, data privacy issues, skills gaps in the workforce, and reliance on third-party service providers. This research aims to identify the main challenges that companies face in the implementation of digital transformation, as well as the innovations adopted to overcome these barriers and their impact on operational efficiency, decision-making, and relationships with customers. The results show that infrastructure unpreparedness and skills gaps are the main obstacles in the digitalization process, but innovations such as the use of digital collaboration tools, automation, and ERP system integration have helped companies to optimize operations. In addition, digital transformation improves efficiency, data-driven decision-making, and strengthens interactions with customers. The implications of this research provide guidance for companies in designing and implementing effective digital transformation strategies, as well as addressing existing challenges. Companies need to invest in infrastructure, digital skills training, and risk management to maximize the potential of digital technologies in supporting growth and competitiveness in the global market.
