Website : https://fikes.ub.ac.id/id/inhss/ We are delighted to publish the proceedings of the 2026 International Nursing and Health Science Symposium (INHSS 2026), organized by the Faculty of Health Sciences, Universitas Brawijaya, under the theme “Addressing the Complexities in Noncommunicable Disease Management and Maternal Health Issues Using Digital Advancements in Patient Care.” Noncommunicable diseases and maternal health issues have become major concerns in healthcare systems, particularly in developing countries and the Southeast Asian region. Advances in healthcare science and technology have contributed to increased life expectancy among people living with chronic conditions. At the same time, these developments have created a growing need for healthcare professionals to continuously strengthen their knowledge, competencies, and clinical practices. Responding to these challenges requires comprehensive advancements in healthcare education, research, and clinical practice. Digital innovation also offers important opportunities to improve the accessibility, quality, effectiveness, and continuity of patient care. Therefore, INHSS 2026 provides an academic forum for discussing current evidence, innovative approaches, and practical strategies related to noncommunicable disease management, maternal health, and the application of digital technology in healthcare. We are grateful to all distinguished speakers, presenters, participants, researchers, academics, students, and healthcare professionals for their valuable contributions to this symposium. Through the presentation and discussion of research findings from various areas of nursing and health sciences, this conference is expected to promote the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and perspectives among participants. We also hope that the interaction among academics, researchers, and healthcare professionals during this symposium will strengthen professional collaboration and encourage further research and innovation. Such collaboration is essential for developing evidence-based solutions and improving the competencies of healthcare professionals in addressing increasingly complex health problems. Finally, we would like to express our sincere appreciation to all participants, invited speakers, institutional partners, reviewers, and committee members for their commitment and contributions to the successful organization of INHSS 2026. We believe that this symposium will provide meaningful academic discussions, valuable professional networks, and new insights that can be applied in education, research, and healthcare practice.
