Abstract

Student participation in special event practicums is influenced by their motivation, abilities, and opportunities. This study involved students from various universities with MICE, event management, and similar study programs. Primary data was collected through online questionnaires. Quantitative data analysis was conducted using SPSS 23 demographics insight and the SmartPLS 4 application to test collinearity issues of the structural model, assess the significance and relevance of the structural model relationships, assess the model’s explanatory power, and assess the model’s predictive power. Adjustments to the involvement of indicators in each construct are made in order to meet the requirements of the analytical process. The hypothesis was tested through Reflective Measurement Models and Structural Model Assessment. The findings revealed that while all hypotheses indicated a positive relationship, some were statistically insignificant. The proposed model exhibited moderate predictive power, with only two indicators in PLS-SEM yielding lower RMSE values than LM.
