- Abstract
The university museums serve as crucial platforms for research and education, possessing unique significance that is irreplaceable. However, there has been relatively limited scholarly investigation into the exhibition characteristics and curatorial strategies of university museums, both domestically and internationally. This paper examines the comprehensive and professional university museums of representative universities in Hangzhou, comparing and analyzing their exhibition types, content, formats, and conceptual frameworks. The aim is to explore in greater depth how these university museums can effectively fulfill the objectives and missions associated with higher education and research initiatives. Furthermore, this study may serve as a valuable reference for similar university museums across China in formulating relevant development policies.
