The 2025 9th International Seminar on Education, Management and Social Sciences (ISEMSS 2025) was successfully held on July 18–20, 2025, in Chongqing, China. This annual academic gathering continues to serve as a dynamic platform for interdisciplinary dialogue among researchers, educators, and practitioners across the fields of education, management, and the social sciences. With its growing academic reputation, ISEMSS 2025 attracted over 150 registered participants from diverse regions and institutions, fostering rich intellectual exchange and collaboration.

This year’s seminar featured three distinguished keynote speakers whose contributions provided critical perspectives at the intersection of language, pedagogy, and global legal-economic frameworks. Prof. Rustam Shadiev (Zhejiang University, China) delivered an insightful address on “Language Learning in Context,” emphasizing how the learning environment significantly affects English as a Foreign Language (EFL) learners’ engagement and performance. Prof. Jiu Liu (Harbin Engineering University, China) explored innovative pedagogical approaches in her keynote on the application of Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) to the instruction of Public International Law. Prof. Rami Khalil (Sichuan International Studies University, China) brought an international dimension to the program by analyzing strategic, legal, and commercial opportunities for Chinese enterprises in the Gulf region.

In addition to the keynote sessions, the seminar featured a robust series of oral presentations selected through a rigorous peer-review process. From a total of 190 submissions, 105 papers were accepted for presentation and publication, reflecting an acceptance rate of approximately 55%. The diversity of research presented underscored the seminar’s broad intellectual scope. Topics ranged from applied anthropology and bilingual literature studies to early childhood education, information systems, legal studies, and sustainable marketing strategies. Notably, several papers engaged with critical issues in language acquisition, discourse analysis, civic education, human resource development, digital communication, and the integration of information technology into social science research—highlighting the seminar’s role as a venue for advancing scholarship across disciplinary boundaries.

ISEMSS 2025 continues to demonstrate the value of cross-disciplinary academic engagement in addressing the complex challenges of contemporary society. We extend our sincere gratitude to all authors, reviewers, and participants whose commitment to academic excellence made this seminar possible. We also acknowledge the contributions of the organizing committee for their meticulous planning and execution. It is our hope that the ideas exchanged through this year’s proceedings will inform future research and policy across the diverse domains represented at the seminar.
