Abstract

The study focused to described how students’ perception of 8th graders students of Andreas Junior High School of using TikTok Platform to enhance student’s idiomatic expression. Students have to give their perception on the use of TikTok for learning English idiomatic expression. The study employed descriptive qualitative, the instruments were observation, questionnaire, and interviews. The sample of this research was 30 students, graders 8th Andreas Junior High School. To collect the data the study employed 15 questions to students. After analyzing the data of this research showed that the students gave perception to learn idiom through TikTok. They were easier to understand the use of TikTok for learn English idiom, students were more expressive to learn idiom, they can improve vocabulary and pronunciation and can practice in daily activity. As the result of this research found that the benefit learn idiom through TikTok to easier remember to students, they can watch videos anytime to reviews and practice to daily activity, and students can choose English content creator idiom anytime and anywhere. Based on the result showed that, the students have positive perception of using TikTok platform to enhance students idiomatic expression.
