Abstract

Ferry transport ports are places where the loading and unloading, departure and arrival processes of ships are carried out. The number of passengers and vehicles using ferry ports continues to increase, creating major challenges for port managers. The Tanjung Api-Api Ferry Port, Banyuasin Regency, connects South Sumatra Province with the Bangka Belitung Islands Province via the Muntok Regency Port. West Bangka (Marissa, 2018). The distance from the Tanjung Api-Api Ferry Harbor to the Muntok Ferry Harbor is around 30 miles with a travel time of approximately 3 hours (Marissa, 2018). The number of passengers and vehicles using the ferry port continues to increase from the previous year. This creates a big challenge for port managers in maintaining performance and meeting the increasingly high needs of the community. The aim of this research is to determine the service performance aspects of the Tanjung Api-Api ferry port. The type of research carried out was descriptive quantitative and the analysis method carried out was based on the Director General of Land Transportation Regulation No. KP DRJD 539 of 2022. The results of the research show that the service performance of the Tanjung Api-api ferry port consists of the number of customers factor and the customer satisfaction index value is “Very Good”. So the overall score for the Service Performance Aspect of the Tanjung Api-api Ferry Port is 86.55, meaning “Very Good”.
