Abstract

The Ministry of Education and Culture in Indonesia introduced the Merdeka Curriculum to emphasize differentiated learning and address the diverse needs of students. As part of this curriculum, Pancasila Education aims to foster responsible citizenship and enhance civic knowledge among elementary students. However, traditional teaching methods have often failed to fully engage students, limiting the effectiveness of the curriculum. To address this issue, this research aimed to develop a differentiated E-module for Pancasila Education, designed to improve civic knowledge through an interactive, multi-sensory approach. Using the Research and Development (R&D) method with the 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate), the study created the differentiated E-Module, NoHaKi, which incorporates visual, auditory, and kinesthetic learning styles to enhance student engagement. Data were collected through interviews and expert validation to assess the module’s feasibility and effectiveness. The findings indicate that the differentiated E-Module significantly improves students’ civic knowledge and motivation. Material validation scored 83.4%, while media validation scored 89.9%, both indicating high feasibility. Additionally, the use of vibrant colors and interactive elements in the module increased student engagement and learning motivation, with an 84.86% improvement in student motivation, categorizing it as “very good.“ To evaluate the effectiveness of the NoHaKi E-Module, an analysis was conducted comparing pretest and posttest scores. The average pretest score was 80.28, which increased to 82.08 in the posttest, indicating a 1.80-point improvement. Scores improved for 9 students, remained the same for 6, and decreased for 3, resulting in a 50% improvement rate. This data confirms the module’s significant positive impact on students’ civic knowledge.
