- Abstract
Employee performance is influenced by various factors including the work environment and social capital. However, in practice, sometimes employee performance is also influenced by resistance to changes. This means that performance supporting factors sometimes do not have a significant effect. This study intends to investigate and explain how organizational development and social capital impact the work performance of tax office Demak employees. The research also considers resistance to change and its effect on the relationship between organizational development, social capital, and employee performance. This research is quantitative in nature. Data gathering employs observation, interviews, and document review. Data interpretation relies on linear regression. The findings suggest that organizational development enhances the work performance of tax office Demak employees. Similarly, social capital boosts the performance of tax office Demak employees. However, resistance to change does not moderate the impact of organizational development or social capital on the work performance of tax office Demak employees.
