Abstract

The injury that many female artistic gymnasts of Club Wimilia Semarang City suffer is an ankle joint injury which causes limited ROM (Range Of Motion) and less than optimal gymnasts during training. From these problems, the need for massage where the goal is to relax and restore the injury to its original position. The type of research in this article is experimental research with one group pre-test post-test design. The experiment used in this study was to provide treatment using the Ali Satia Graha massage method on 30 athletes who had ankle joint injuries and the use of Kinesio tape. The results of this study showed an increase in ROM flexibility from dorsiflexion, plantarflexion, eversion, and inversion and decreased pain in ankle joint injuries after the implementation of massage treatment sports injuries Ali Satia Graha method and the use of Kinesio tape. Increased pre-test and post- test data with an average increase of 8.20 &; 58.48% and a decrease in pain of 6.21 & 92.00%. In conclusion, the application of the Ali Satia Graha massage method and the use of Kinesio tape are effectively used to treat ankle joint injuries within a period of four weeks and three therapeutic meetings (15-30 minutes). This research is expected to be a reference for sportsmen or non-sportsmen for proper and correct handling of injuries, especially ankle joint.
