Website: https://lewis.unimus.ac.id/3rd-lewis-engineering-and-applied-sciences/ This proceedings volume presents a curated selection of scholarly papers from the 3rd Lawang Sewu International Symposium 2024 on Medical and Health Sciences, held on December 6th, 2024, in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. The symposium was organized by the Institute for Research and Community Service of Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (UNIMUS) and served as a platform for academics, researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to exchange insights, discuss innovative ideas, and explore emerging trends in the field of medical and health sciences. With the overarching theme “Artificial Intelligence and Technology in Healthcare Services,” the symposium sought to address the transformative role of technology—particularly artificial intelligence—in shaping the future of healthcare delivery, diagnostics, treatment, education, and public health infrastructure. The theme reflects the growing importance of integrating technological advancement with medical expertise to enhance patient outcomes, increase efficiency, and bridge gaps in global healthcare systems. A total of thirty-six high-quality papers were selected for publication in this WoS indexed proceedings, following a rigorous and multi-tiered peer-review process conducted by esteemed members of the scientific committee. The selection was based on originality, methodological soundness, relevance to the conference theme, and potential contribution to the advancement of the field. The topics represented in this volume are wide-ranging and include, but are not limited to: precision medicine and personalized medicine; digital health, telemedicine, and telenursing; emerging infectious diseases and pandemic preparedness; medical innovations and therapeutic advances; health equity and the social determinants of health; mental health and psychological well-being; inter national collaboration in biomedical research; education and continuous professional development in health professions; evidence-based nursing practices and specialized nursing fields; advances in physiotherapy services; and the role of medicines and vaccines in community pharmacy. This volume serves as a valuable academic resource, offering timely and evidence based contributions that are expected to be of significant benefit to both scholars and practitioners. It is hoped that the knowledge disseminated through these proceedings will not only enrich current academic discourse but also inspire further research, innovation, and collaborative initiatives in the medical and health sectors. On behalf of the organizing committee, we extend our deepest appreciation to all parties whose efforts made the symposium and this publication possible.
