- Abstract
This study examines the regional disparities and optimization strategies for preschool education financial investment in China under a low fertility rate. Using panel data from 31 provincial administrative regions between 2013 and 2023, the study employs panel data analysis methods. The findings indicate a significant disparity in total investment between eastern and western regions, with the structure being urban-oriented in the east and rural-focused in the central and western regions. Simply increasing financial investment is insufficient to effectively address the challenges posed by low fertility rates. Based on these findings, the study proposes strategies such as establishing a differentiated transfer payment mechanism, formulating a national standard system, and optimizing the investment structure.
