Abstract

The cultural connotations and aesthetic values behind the traditional Chinese folk art of shadow puppetry, which has been passed down for more than 2,000 years, have been extended through digital technology in contemporary times, which enhances the power of visual expression and promotes the modernization and transformation of cultural symbols at the same time. For example, Disney’s shadow play “Mickey and Friends Travel to China” achieves an innovative breakthrough in cross-cultural expression through the fusion of Chinese and Western painting styles and localized narratives. Research reveals the evolution of the nature of intercultural communication. From the one-way “material-cultural” penetration of the ancient Silk Road to the cross-cultural integration achieved by breaking down barriers in modern times, and nowadays, amid the wave of globalization. Science and technology have become a central force in the promotion of cultural exchanges and dissemination Accelerating the integration of different cultural elements Big data analysis and artificial intelligence algorithms help to accurately disseminate culture, promote the development of niche cultures, promote cultural diversity, enhance the understanding and tolerance of different countries and ethnic groups, and build a harmonious global cultural ecosystem in the future, but at the same time, cross-cultural communication will also face new risks and challenges.
