Abstract

In recent years, the integrated development of the internet and the financial industry has reshaped the financial landscape. While advancing the innovation of the financial sector, internet finance has brought forth risk factors distinct from those of traditional finance, posing new requirements for financial regulation. This paper first summarizes the characteristics of various types of internet financial risks, as well as the common internet financial risk supervision methods in relevant risk management theories and literature. On the basis of the literature review, this paper analyzes the business model, operational risks, and risk regulatory approaches of Ant Group, and finds that internet finance encompasses diverse business formats. Compared with traditional commercial banks, it exhibits risks such as high leverage, monopolistic tendencies, and spillover effects on commercial banks. To address the new challenges posed by the development of internet finance to risk management, internet financial enterprises should rely on financial technology to consolidate digital risk control, optimize evaluation models, establish a full-process prevention and control system, and promote information sharing and talent development. Regulatory authorities need to construct a “pre-event, in-event, post-event” full-process regulatory framework and improve the credit reporting and legal systems.
