- Abstract
Against the integration of the digital economy and energy transition, virtual power plants are emerging as important participants in the development of a unified national electricity market. From the perspective of the digital economy, this paper systematically expounds the connotation and digital economic attributes of virtual power plants, analyzes their benefit components in conventional transactions, demand response and derivative services, and further identifies the key sensitive factors in terms of policy rules, technical level and market ecology. On this basis, safeguard paths for optimizing economic benefits are proposed from the perspectives of policy, technology and operation. The research shows that the economic benefits of virtual power plants highly depend on the enabling depth of digital technologies and the improvement of the mechanism for participating in the electricity market. Constructing a value transformation system centered on data elements can promote the high-quality development of economic benefits.
