- Abstract
With the accelerated development of new power systems, artificial intelligence (AI) has been widely applied in power grid operation, maintenance and scheduling. Nevertheless, data confidentiality rules, operational safety requirements and complex on-site conditions greatly limit AI’s capacity to fully replace power grid professionals. This paper establishes a four-dimensional evaluation index system for AI substitution potential based on the operational characteristics of the power industry. Using the expert scoring method, it quantitatively assesses AI’s substitution potential in the next 3 years and 10 years, analyzes phased differences in substitution capacity, and puts forward targeted suggestions for domestic power grid enterprises. The findings can provide theoretical and practical references for optimizing human resource allocation and building human-machine collaborative operation modes in the power sector.
