- Abstract
The teaching of Electromagnetic Fields and Microwave Technology (EMFT) has long been challenged by abstract concepts, complex mathematical derivations, and high-cost experimental setups. With the rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI), its integration into EMFT education has shown great potential to address these issues. This paper explores the application pathways of AI in EMFT teaching, including intelligent simulation platforms, personalized learning systems, adaptive assessment tools, and virtual experimental environments. Through case studies, it demonstrates how AI enhances students’ conceptual understanding, practical skills, and learning engagement. The challenges in implementing AI-based teaching, such as technical integration barriers and faculty training needs, are also discussed. Finally, future directions for optimizing AI applications in EMFT education are proposed, aiming to provide a reference for promoting intelligent reform in engineering education.
